Random eBay purchases

Good day everyone ^.^ Today I got home and received a couple of packages. I recently bought some random stuff off eBay, I usually do this when I'm bored.

Bought a beret for the winter months approaching. Was only $2.99 shipped! It has a bit of factory smell to it. Quality is pretty good for $2.99.

Wine Red Wig. This was only $14.99 shipped. It does look a bit fake but not extremely which is alright for $14.99. There a good amount of 'hair' on it as well.

I got a new iphone cover. My old one was cracking at the edges from dropping my phone so many time. Cases really do save iphones from getting a cracked screen. It's so cute! Has "HELLO KITTY" logo at the back. $3.60 shipped.

Does anyone else get random things from eBay? What do you like to get?

Shideido Aquair Deep Moist Review

A while ago I got the Shiseido Deep Moist Hair Treatment Lotion and Deep Moist Hair Moisturising Essence because I ran out of my Yanagiya Tsubaki Spray. I have damaged hair which lacks a lot of moisture at the ends because I colour mine a lot, up to 7 lifts!

Browsing SaSa as I usually do I came across these two hair treatment sprays. I like hair treatment sprays because they are convenient and quick to use.

AQUAIR Deep Moist Hair Treatment Lotion

Here is what it says on SaSa
description
Shiseido AQUAIR Deep Moist Hair Treatment Lotion deeply permeates the centre of hair and the damaged cuticles for an immediate moisturization and repair. It solves the problem of disheveled, dry hair. Hair becomes smooth, shiny and easy to comb.
With a clear floral scent, it keeps hair isolated from unpleasant smells such as the smell of cigarette.

how to use it
  1. Use before going out or when you feel hair is dry.
  2. Hold container 5 – 10 cm from hair and spray by pressing down the handle until the hair is fully moisturized.
  3. Comb with hands or a comb.
ingredients
  • 【Glycerin】softens and hydrates.
  • 【Sodium Glutamate】conditions hair.
  • 【Arginine】hydrates.

This one is best used during the day when your are preparing to go out as it works as a detangler. The scent is typical of most hair care products but only a little bit sweeter. When I spray on wet hair and let it naturally dry I do get a little bit of extra volume in my hair. It's also has a large spray area and is able to cover the majority of my head of hair with only a few sprays. I wouldn't say it really repairs the hair as I don't think it's concentrated enough. I've been using this for a while and comparing it to the Yanagiya Prexceed Tsubaki Spray this product isn't as good as it.

Pros
Moisturises Hair
Detangles Hair
Smooths Hair
Nice Scent
Large Spray Area

Cons
Hard to find
Doesn't repair hair

Overall Rating 3/5

AQUAIR Deep Moist Hair Moisturising Essence

Here is what it says on SaSa
description
Shiseido AQUAIR Deep Moist Hair Moisturizing Essence concentrates on repairing hair with opened cuticles overnight. Moisturizing micro particles deeply permeate dry areas, leaving hair watery, shiny and smooth. The hair will be elastic and lustrous again in the next morning.
With a clear floral scent, it keeps hair isolated from unpleasant smells such as the smell of cigarette.

how to use it

  1. Wash and towel-dry hair.
  2. Centering on dry hair with opened cuticles, spray an appropriate amount over hair (8 – 10 pumps for hair of medium length or long hair).
  3. Comb hair for even permeating.
  4. Recommended to use before sleep.
ingredients
  • 【Glycerin】softens and hydrates.
  • 【Hydrogenated Castor Oil】hydrates and moisturizes.
  • 【Sodium Glutamate】conditions hair.
I use this one during the night time before I sleep. I has a smeller spray area compared to the Hair Treatment Lotion so you can concentrate on areas that you want. This one is more moisturising than than the Treatment lotion because my hair is more elastic when I check individual strands. I'm still a fan of my Yanagiya Tsubaki Spray and compare this to it. It doesn't perform as well but it'll have to do for now as SaSa doesn't have it in stock anymore =(

Pros
Moisturises Hair
Makes Hair Silkier in the morning
Scent is not overpowering

Cons
Hard to find

Overall Rating 3.5/5

Attempted Ashy coloured hair

Yesterday I coloured my hair an ashy brown colour. I chose a light ash blonde colour as I wanted to achieve an ash brown result because I have natural black hair.
Above is the stuff I used: creme colour, 30 Vol - 9% peroxide, mixing bowl and brush and gloves.
I mixed my creme colour and peroxide in a 1:1 ratio.

Above: Before
Above: Results...in sunlight it seems to of resulted in an auburn colour as I can see a golden redness to it.
Above: Taken without sunlight....looks light an medium brown to an ashy brown colour.

I think the colour is a bit golden and dark so I might re-attempt the same colour until I achieve the result I want...also I will put a toner through to wash out any golden tinge to achieve the ash effect I want. But I'm going to treat my hair first...don't want to overdo my hair and frizzle it.

Also...thank you Maki for the Lovely Blog Award ^^

Schwarzkopf Perfect Mousse Hair Dye

Hello
Today I felt like dying my hair. I bought the Schwarzkopf Perfect Mousse Hair Dye in Chocolate Brown. I think this is the first mousse hair dye on the western market. I know in Japan there is 2 brands that make mousse hair dye. I paid $13AUD for this...the store I went to had a introductory promotion, normally it should be around $16-18
Sorry...image won't upload properly =(

It's a pump pack...So just add the colour gel (black bottle) to the large developing bottle and invert (DON'T SHAKE)
Pump out some product onto gloved hands
Distribute into hair and Repeat
This is my hair before the dye. I haven't dyed my hair in over a year so my roots are really long. eww. lol. So I've included my tips in the picture - I use to always have a light brown coppery colour to my hair. But it killed my hair =(

Thick moussey hair

Hair After - My ends have darkened. So I'm quite disappointed with the end colour results. Definitely not close to the pack colour

Pros: Easy to distribute through the hair
The conditioner that comes with it is good for 2 or 3 uses - depending on hair length
Also the conditioner is quite good - moisturised my hair and smelt pleasant
Easy to find - most pharmacies and supermarkets
No Ammonia

Cons: Did not come out like box colour
Limited colour selction

I don't think I'd re-purchase
I think in 2 weeks I'll re-dye my hair but with professional products because I already have the mixing bowl

Don't Forget to Check out my Giveaway!! ^_^

packages from Hong Kong

Yay! My packages came. I ordered hair velcro and eyelashes off eBay.
First package is the hair velcro. I think it was $3 or $4 for 10 pieces
The left one is from the package. The right one is by Japanese brand Dariya which I bought off SaSa earlier this year. I'm not too pleased with these ones. They don't have that much hold to them =( so I do NOT recommend these. Only buy the one that is by the Dariya brand. Why did I buy 10?  >.<

From another seller I bought 3 boxes of Taiwan made lashes. They feel soft but I think they are synthetic hair. The bands are alright I guess. They were $12 USD for all 2 including postage.

These are criss cross lashes which extend outwards giving eyes a more feminine look ^_^

Standard criss cross lashes

Voluminous lashes that extend outwards

MoroccanOil Review

Hey guys

Just had a massive pig out session of Pringles in sour cream and chives, Cadbury chocolate, Twix and Snickers…I feel like a fatty but had mad cravings for junk food.

For a while now I've been using MoroccanOil in my hair. For me I feel that it makes my hair stronger and healthier. Also it has a nice sweet scent but is not overpowering.
This is what it says on the pack of the box:
"MoroccanOil has unique quality of instant absorption into hair, creating an instant shine and long term conditioning without leaving residue."
Directions: For healthy, smooth and striking shiny hair, apply a small amount throughout damp hair, style as usual.

Usually I rub a teaspoon amount between my hands and apply it to the ENDS of my damp hair then run the remainder through my whole hair. Dry as usual.
I got mine off eBay but beware, apparently there are fakes around and the fakes smell like baby oil. So if you don't mind paying full RRP ($AUD49.95) go to a reputable hair salon or through the MoroccanOil website. There is also a lighter version for finer and lighter hair colours. I think MoroccanOil is worth the investment for healthy hair and is great for repairing damaged hair =]

Let me know if you have tried this and what your experiences are =]

Tsubaki Head Spa Review

Hello

I've been so obsessed with my hair for a couple of years. I use to dye it for 5 years straight and it has take its toll on my hair. So from that I've given my hair a break and have not coloured it for one year except to dye it a very dark brown which I think is much safer than dying it a light copper colour. Even though I've given slowed down on the hair dye my hair is still fragile and grows really slow now :(

So I've invested in Moroccan Oil (will do a review on that) and lots of other hair care products. If you've read my previous post on my SaSa haul I did purchase the who ESSENTIAL damage care product range but I think I'll save it for when I dye my hair a lighter colour for summer. So before my SaSa haul I bought the Shiseido TSUBAKI Head Spa range, however it came in the mail later.

Both brands are good for damaged hair but I think the ESSENTIAL hair range better suits coloured hair whereas the TSUBAKI Head Spa is for scalp care.

Left to Right: Shampoo, Extra cleansing (shampoo?), Massage Spa Mask, Conditioner

Here's what I researched about TSUBAKI:
Tsubaki means camellia in Japanese. The range contains tsubaki oil to which repairs and nourishes damaged hair. The Head Spa range was released in March. There are also 2 others, red packaging and white. The red is for normal hair whereas the white is for extra damaged coloured hair.

I'm hoping the range I bought will help my hair grow faster *fingers crossed*

Here's what SaSa says about the *Extra Cleansing (Shampoo)*
description
Shiseido Tsubaki Head spa contains a high purity of tsubaki (camilia) oil & many other natural ingredients, is specially designed for advanced scalp care. Using just once or twice a week will help remove all the chemical residues from hair products, at the same time deeply nourish each hair strands like a quality hair spa at home. This is your key to healthy & beautiful hair growth. Your hair will restore its healthy shine and smoothness.

how to use it

  1. Take Appropriate amount and massage to damped hair for ~ 3 minutes.
  2. Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  3. Recommended to use 1-2 times per week.

how to use it
  • Recommend to use together with Tsubaki Shampoo and Conditioner for better nourishment effect. Use the mask once a week.
  • Take appropriate amount and spread evenly through every hair strands while giving massage to your hair scalp.
  • Leave in for 5~10 minutes.
  • Rinse off thoroughly

Shampoo and Conditioner is self explanatory

Review

Scent: Smells very nice and floral

My hair didn't fall out as much in the shower. Also you don't need a lot of the product, just a tablespoon full of product should do. I applied the shampoo to my scalp and washed my head really well. Then I gave it a quick rinse and applied some of the Extra cleansing product. At first sight it looked like oil but when I applied it to my scalp it lathered really well. I left the product on for a while, you could continue washing your body, shave legs etc. while it works on your scalp and hair.

Finally I applied the conditioner to the ends of my hair then worked it into my scalp. Gave it a good rinse after afterwards.

My hair was really soft and manageable. I think I will do a recapped review and see how my hair goes after 2 weeks of continuos use. I use to use Pantene Volume collection but I think it makes my hair fall out =(

haul from sasa

I love SaSa. I first discovered the stores when I was holidaying in Hong Kong at the beginning of this year. Usually when I'm in Hong Kong I go to Watsons which is a like a chemist/beauty store but they don't have an online store. SaSa stocks many well known brands from around the world including premium ones  but at discount prices ^_^

My Package came yesterday. Usually I wait until there is a list of things I want so that I can save on postage. Everything is well wrapped in bubble wrap with those peanut foams as padding. Here is what I got: (Clockwise) Christian Dior make up palette, the whole ESSENTIAL damage care hair care range, Yanagiya Prexeed Hair Tsubaki Hair Lotion, Saya 9-Day Extra Lash Tonic, Cettua Trouble Clear Patch, random gift with purchases.

Christian Dior make up palette.
This was on sale =] I don't owe much eyeshadows so I bought this because of the number of colours you get and it has a blush, pressed powder, mascara and lipstick. A very convenient set. Will do a review when I need to use it ^_^

ESSENTIAL damage care
this hair care range is good for coloured and damaged hair. I've read a lot of good reviews on it and got the whole collection because I'm very conscious about the inner health of my hair.

Rich Premier is mean for manageability of hair and Nuance Airy is for volume

So far I haven't used up my shampoo and conditioner but will do a review once I've tried them. I've also bought the treatment and the hair masks as extra treatment for my hair.

ESSENTIAL damage hair treatment

ESSENTIAL damage care hair masks

Yanagiya Prexceed Tsubaki Hair Lotion
Tsubaki is camellia oil used to treat hair and make is shiny and healthy. This product is meant to help repair damaged hair from blow drying and brushing and make the hair soft, shiny, smooth and radiant.

Haven't used it for long but it smells quite nice.

Some products you purchase comes with a gift and usually when you checkout SaSa lets you choose 2 free gifts. I got breast cream. lol. seabed soil pack (face mask), eyelash curler and a coin purse.

Cettua Trouble Clear Patch.
I bought this for my boyfriend because he always breaks out in big pimples. They are clear little circle patches. You stick these on our pimple and leave it over night. In the morning you peel it off and the white of the pimple and the pimple head should be removed.

My Review: 10/10 - it really works because I did have one pimple near my mouth the other day and it got rid of it =]

SAYA 9 days Extra Lash Tonic
There are quite a fair bit of eyelash treatments on the market now but they are all so expensive :(
This one had a promotion and it was buy 2 for around $40. I know it's still kinda a bit pricey but I have teeny tiny lashes. The reviews on the site were really good and the majority of people who bought it said it strengthened their lashes or made them thicker.

Right now I'm trialling it and will do a review on it when I've used it for 9 days.
