MARC BY MARC JACOBS baby dave in rose gold

Hello!

I was browsing on shopbop.com to see if they had any new style of watches in. I instantly fell in love with the new baby dave watches by MARC by MARC JACOBS. I've been wanting a rose gold watch for a long time now because all the ones I own are silver. I quickly added this to my cart and checked out before it sold out. I ordered this on a Friday night Sydney time and got it Monday afternoon! I'm quite impressed with the delivery.

Here are some close up pictures of the watch. The watch face is quite big and takes up 90% of my wrist but I don't mind. It's a statement piece to me.

In the box - New style I guess. I have another watch by MARC JACOBS and it's cylindrical.

Well packaged by Shopbop.

Back view and a look at how the clasp/band is.

Love the little detail on the time adjuster.

I think these are all the available colours. (image credits to their original owners)

Do you guys like the new baby dave? Which colours do you like?

PLAY Comme des Garçons knitwear guide

Winter is almost over in Australia but the weather is still chilly and unpredictable in Sydney. A jacket or thick cardigan is essential for those unpredictable days. What has been staples in my winter wardrobe are my PLAY Comme des Garçons cardigans. They are 100% wool, made in Japan  and in my opinion will always be in fashion because they are so simple, suit many trends, unisex and so versatile.

I first noticed this brand on a shirt that NEYO was wearing on a YouTube video (I usually notice weird little details). Initially I didn't know the brand but on a holiday shopping in Hong Kong I stumbled upon a pop up store because I had noticed the logo.

I wanted more of these cardigans but there was no store in Sydney that I knew that stocked this brand. Hence I started to search on eBay. However, on eBay there are so many fakes of this brand selling at only $30! Which is way below their recommended retail price. I did manage to acquire more of these cardigans through reference with the one I already owned and through communication with the seller. I'm posting a general guide to authenticating PLAY knitwear. For reference my cardigans are all crew neck.

Crew necks have 6 button holes and 7 buttons (1 is spare)

The spare button is attached to the care instruction tag. The tag would have a stamp in kanji. Also attached is spare thread

Buttons are mother of pearl and NOT plastic

Care instructions in English and French. Dry Clean Only.

Warning and more care instructions. The wool is thick and the quality of the fabric is noticeable.

The underside of where the buttons and buttonholes are placed have a cross grain ribbon lining.

Hope this helps for those who are planning on getting some knitwear online. Make sure you ask for plenty of photos from the seller. For me these cardigans are worth every cent because I've worn them so many times.

Yesstyle Haul

Yesstyle is having a promotion for Australian customers, free shipping for purchases over $75. Shipping is usually $5 but I don't like paying for shipping =P

I placed my order on 5th April and got it 17th April, which is alright for standard shipping and considering the Easter Holidays. I'm quite happy about my purchases. Quality wise they're okay. I wouldn't mind doing another yesstyle haul but I really shouldn't because I've done a lot of hauling lately. One of the major downfalls of online shopping because it's so easy to access >.<

Everything was "ONE SIZE FITS ALL." For reference I'm S or M depending what I buy. They all felt like a S.

Here's What I Ordered:

My favourite one. The fabric has a good weight and the hem came down the same as the stock photo. So I'm pretty happy about the shortness of the dress.

Love the detailing of the cuffs and collar but the fabric seemed a bit cheap. My favourite blouse from the haul.

The sleeves were a bit tight around my forearms so it's more suited to a XS person. Shirt is sheer so you'll need to wear a singlet underneath.

Has anyone else shopped at yesstyle? Were your purchases same as stick photo?

EOFY findings

I haul clothes twice a year. One at the End of Financial Year Sales (which covers my winter wardrobe) and the other is the after Christmas Sales (which covers the summer wardrobe). I always watch out for 50% or more off. If I want something I will wait for it to go on sale. I'm like this because I don't feel like I need to pay full price to follow trends because fashion changes quickly. Don't you get angry when you pay full price for something only to find it on sale over half price off the next?!

This year I admit I have gone a bit overboard on the spending =S Thanks to the strong Australian dollar and there are so many good bargains out there.
I bought a 3 pack of the cutest Peter Alexander underwear for $19. Was $39. I love Peter Alexander! His lingerie always come in the cutest, most innovative packaging.
I also bought a whole tonne of other under garments because I haven't bought any in over a year! Best find was a brand name bra (Lovable) that usually retails for $49.95 at the department stores for $5!! X3 and it wasn't tried on =]

Top Row: Glasson's Merino Wool Top (half price), Glasson's navy blue and white striped top (half price), Cotton On striped Jumper ($10, was $29.95), Cotton On striped top ($10, was $20), Glasson's Red and white striped top (half price)
Bottom Row: Glasson's pants ($17.50 was $59.95), Nobody Jeans which is an Australian premium denim brand (normally RRP of $199 and above, got one for $58 and the other for $50ish), Glasson's black leggings/tights (2 for $25), Cotton On navy blue skirt ($5, was $29.95)

You can tell this year is all about the stripes and I bought a lot!

Peter Alexander cardigans!!
The first one has two cute pink bows on the pockets and one at the back ($20 was $79.95 i think)
Second cardigan is a blend of angora, cashmere and other wool with metallic threading to give it some extra character, the buttons are large shiny 'diamonds'  (I think I got this at 60% off)
Last cardigan has cute flower buttons with Swarovski crystals in the flower centre ($49, think it was 30% off...not too sure)
Love the Tag!! Peter Alexander is an Australian Sleepwear brand which has branched out into lingerie, bath products, mens and kids sleepwear and sometimes day wear for women. The quality of his products is high and it's one of my favourite brands which I frequent into, my fellow Australian residents would know how lavishly decorated the stores are with vanilla scented candles usually lit up =]

How is everyone else's shopping expenditures? Any great finds?

Melbourne Haul

Hey guys!! I'm back from my brief getaway with some friends. We went to Melbourne, Australia which is just interstate for me. Following are some things I picked up =] All my stuff were at discounted prices because Melbourne has a lot of factory outlets and is a well known city where people are laid back and dress very funky (the cool kind).

From Forever New (kinda like Forever 21)
Floral Skirt: $29.95 was $69.95
Floral Active Shorts: $19.95 was $29.95( although FREE because it was a buy one get one free offer)

Boater Hat from Just Jeans. I only paid $5 at the counter!! RRP was $19.95 then reduced to $9.95. I love it when you are prepared to pay the face price and then it's further reduced at the cashier =]

Supra shoes. Paid $70 was $120. All 3 of my Chucks are worn. So these are a similar style but different brand. My friends and I like to collect sneakers.

Tan Sandals from a random boutique store. Was $60 Paid $35

Body Shop small Body Butters. Don't remember but I paid $5 less than RRP.

Cute teapot from T2, I love tea and T2. Teapot/teacup set was $30. Was not a reduced price.

Above is from Kikki.K
A4 box was $29.95 down to $12.57
Tags was $9.95 down to $2
Elephant sticky tape was $6.95 down to $2

I love Sales =]

How to find a bra and wear it properly and pyjamas shopping

I found this pamphlet/catalogue a while ago when I was shopping. It's actually quite informative. Getting ourselves fitted properly is very important because we don't want premature sagging and get back pain.

Yesterday I bought new pyjamas from Peter Alexander (Australian designer sleepwear) It's so cute and vintage which I love ^_^
 Close-Up of pants

Shirt which can be worn day and night

I love 'multi task' clothes =]

anniversary, shopping haul and a giveaway I'm entering

Hello! How is everyone?
A week or so ago I had my anniversary with my boyfriend. We spent the day shopping and having lunch. Just something relaxed and not too hectic. Japanese was the menu =] yum!! We went to a place called "pepper lunch" close to Town Hall station in the city. They serve the food on hot plates and it's sizzling when it arrives on your table. I've walked passed this place for many years but never went in.

I chose the Waygu beef because I've never had proper Waygu beef before. It was very tender and delicious. Not much seasoning needs to go into this meat to make it very delicious.

Boyfriend chose Salmon and Chicken. Very very nice =] The chicken is fully cooked before it arrives to you because chicken has to be well done or you'll get food poisoning =(

The bad thing about this place is that it gives you so many bean sprouts, needs more beans instead. But overall I think I'd rate it a 3/5

For our anniversary he got me a Gucci tote ^_^ I know they are very expensive but I never got a 21st birthday present from him, or several months worth of anniversary gifts. So it kinda makes up for it. I think it's worth it because I'd use it everyday for uni and it fits my laptop.

On to shopping...I'm kinda a cheapo when it comes to clothes. Don't normally follow trends and usually wait for sales (I'm a Sales hunter and love a good bargain ^_^). Handbags are different because I'm obsessed with them…

So here's what I hauled for clothes last month:

Sportsgirl cropped jumper (got it for half price AUD$40)
I bought it in the Large size because I wanted it to go down to my hips and be very loose and baggy. If you buy it in your normal size it should go down to our waist and be more fitted.

Chica Booti grey and pink polka dot top (on sale for AUD$9.99)

Chica Booti Grey Shirt (was $24.99, got it for AUD$9.99)

Gotta Love Sales ^_^

Currently I'm entering this competition for a blog I follow. It's a 100+ followers giveaway. I think if I achieve a certain follower mark I'll do a giveaway aswell =]

She is so pretty… =]
