iherb haul

This is my second iherb purchase. My first purchase was some real techniques brushes. I'm trialling them now so look out for a review.

I love the packaging of iherb. Although not presentable it's environmentally concious. Something I have a slight passion for.
Box is 100% post consumer recycled cardboard. The 'filler' is probably recycled brown paper. I really like this compared to SaSa and BonjourHK because they use those pesky foam peanuts which is not recyclable or biodegradable. I've once ordered a single NARS blush from SaSa and I had to dig out an entire box full of peanuts to get to my blush.

I love how they use egg carton paper for the large bottles compared to plastic bubble wrap. Good for the environment. The carton can be easily recycled or pour some potting mix into it and grow some herbs.*End Enviroment talk*
Avalon Organics Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner

Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Serum and Cream, NOW Lutein Ester (pills to support eye health)

Look out for these future reviews. I'll need some time to trial them. Lately I feel that SKII and Vitacreme B12 is not working that well for me, or my skin has become too adjusted and therefore little effect.

If Anyone is interested in getting some organic things from iherb they have $10 of the first order of $10 or $5 off smaller orders. Shipping is cheap too =)

Update and Haul

A week ago I went to the Philippines and Hong Kong. Christmas in these Asian countries just feel more like Christmas because of the ways they decorate their shopping centres and tourist attractions. I will break my trip into several posts just to keep the posts short and sweet. For the first post about my holidays I will do a beauty haul. I got everything from SaSa, Bonjour or Colourmix. These are all beauty stockists in Hong Kong with products arranging from drug store brands to high end brands. I found that some SaSas will stock a certain brand while some others didn't.
I got mix of nail polish, a Kiss Me eyelash serum, Shiseido Tsubaki hair treatment waters (really love using theses), mixed eyeliners, Kanebo KATE eyeshadow palettes, hair masks from Kao ESSENTIAL, mascara, BB cream, MAC lipstick (in Russian Red and Creme D Nude), Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek in the orange shade, sunscreen, a box of My Beauty Diary face masks and a ZA two way face palette. Just stocking up on my favourite items and trying some new items that I can't get/overpriced online or not available in Australia.

The Hello Kitty nail polish is recommended for gradient nails and the Marcia and sasatinnie polish were 2 for $10 HKD.

I love the ESSENTIAL hair masks, I'm using the orange packaged one now but I prefer the Nuance Airy line. I use Tsubaki water to maintain the moisture levels in my hair.

KATE palettes, the pigmentation in these are really good! I will do a detailed review on these soon and for some other product I've bought.

Hope everyone is beating the Christmas rush and buying their presents early! Mine is all bought and wrapped. Hate finding car park space during these times.

EOFY findings

I haul clothes twice a year. One at the End of Financial Year Sales (which covers my winter wardrobe) and the other is the after Christmas Sales (which covers the summer wardrobe). I always watch out for 50% or more off. If I want something I will wait for it to go on sale. I'm like this because I don't feel like I need to pay full price to follow trends because fashion changes quickly. Don't you get angry when you pay full price for something only to find it on sale over half price off the next?!

This year I admit I have gone a bit overboard on the spending =S Thanks to the strong Australian dollar and there are so many good bargains out there.
I bought a 3 pack of the cutest Peter Alexander underwear for $19. Was $39. I love Peter Alexander! His lingerie always come in the cutest, most innovative packaging.
I also bought a whole tonne of other under garments because I haven't bought any in over a year! Best find was a brand name bra (Lovable) that usually retails for $49.95 at the department stores for $5!! X3 and it wasn't tried on =]

Top Row: Glasson's Merino Wool Top (half price), Glasson's navy blue and white striped top (half price), Cotton On striped Jumper ($10, was $29.95), Cotton On striped top ($10, was $20), Glasson's Red and white striped top (half price)
Bottom Row: Glasson's pants ($17.50 was $59.95), Nobody Jeans which is an Australian premium denim brand (normally RRP of $199 and above, got one for $58 and the other for $50ish), Glasson's black leggings/tights (2 for $25), Cotton On navy blue skirt ($5, was $29.95)

You can tell this year is all about the stripes and I bought a lot!

Peter Alexander cardigans!!
The first one has two cute pink bows on the pockets and one at the back ($20 was $79.95 i think)
Second cardigan is a blend of angora, cashmere and other wool with metallic threading to give it some extra character, the buttons are large shiny 'diamonds'  (I think I got this at 60% off)
Last cardigan has cute flower buttons with Swarovski crystals in the flower centre ($49, think it was 30% off...not too sure)
Love the Tag!! Peter Alexander is an Australian Sleepwear brand which has branched out into lingerie, bath products, mens and kids sleepwear and sometimes day wear for women. The quality of his products is high and it's one of my favourite brands which I frequent into, my fellow Australian residents would know how lavishly decorated the stores are with vanilla scented candles usually lit up =]

How is everyone else's shopping expenditures? Any great finds?

Over Haul

Hey lovelies.
I've been hauling like crazy!! Wallet is not happy with me. I online shop when I'm stressed...online retail therapy =]

Here's what I got so far...

Top Row: Hair products from Shiseido, Shampoo and Conditioner, and hair moisture essence and treatment sprays. Tsubaki Spray on the end. Will do a review on some the hair treatment sprays as a got those a couple of weeks ago.
Lower rows: I caved in and bought some dolly winks and Ardell lashes, I got dolly wink pure little and sweet girly...these lashes are huge! and long! The Ardell lashes, I've tried some and they're great, very light weight. Also stocked up on Vitacreme B12 (got them for $9 each!!) Got SK-II Facial Treatment Repair-C (it's a concentrated version of the facial treatment essence. Love!), Crabtree and Evelyn Lavender Room Spray, Yanagiya Apricot Hair Oil and Tsubaki shampoos and conditioners.
I got these all from SaSa and Bonjour. The Ardell lashes are from eBay.

Did a nail polish haul after I finished all my exams.
L-R: Nail polish thinner, Kose Pure mild enamel remover, Missha The Style nail polish remover, China glaze nail polises and OPI P17 "Stranger Tides" from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Seche Vite (really really good!! wished I'd discovered it sooner), Rimmel Matte Finish topcoat and Rimmel 60seconds polish in Grey Matter.
I love pastel coloured nail polishes.

Now I've finished exams I'll be able to blog more properly and do some reviews...I'm back =]
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend and take care.

Bonjour Haul

It looks like I'm always hauling...trust me I hardly go physical shopping. I LOVE online shopping ^_^
My package came in the mail from BonjourHK. It's like SaSa in Hong Kong but most of their prices online are cheaper =] but the major downside to shopping with BonjourHK is that free shipping only applies if you spend over $200 US!! So usually I wait for the products I need to accumulate so I can get free shipping. I hate shipping costs =(
I got all this. I needed new SK-II facial treatment essence and I was running out but didn't want to pay local price...I think for the 215mL in Australia it is over $200AUD!! But on Bonjour it was $US103. The Australian dollar is currently strong and almost matches the US so buying online and buying in bulk is cheaper =] SaSa was a bit more expensive but now it's on sale for $US96!! FML...oh well they don't stock the limited edition My Beauty Diary masks or Shu Uemura lash curlers.

Clockwise from left: HadaLabo Tamagohada cleanser, HadaLabo Gokujyun cleanser, Shu Uemura Lash Curlers, SK-II facial treatment essence and Kose Cosmagic Blusher in 02 Peach Pink

New My beauty Diary Masks!! =]
Top Row: Platinum + Pearl Lift Stretch Mask, French White Lily Mask, Vienna Black Tulip Mask, Formosa White Phalaennopis Mask
Bottom Row: Gold + Marine Collagen Mask, Peruvian Sunflower Mask, Japanese Hydrangea Mask

The flower My Beauty Diary Masks are Limited Edition released to celebrate the Taipei International Flora Expo.

Will have more info and reviews on future posts ^_~

Melbourne Haul

Hey guys!! I'm back from my brief getaway with some friends. We went to Melbourne, Australia which is just interstate for me. Following are some things I picked up =] All my stuff were at discounted prices because Melbourne has a lot of factory outlets and is a well known city where people are laid back and dress very funky (the cool kind).

From Forever New (kinda like Forever 21)
Floral Skirt: $29.95 was $69.95
Floral Active Shorts: $19.95 was $29.95( although FREE because it was a buy one get one free offer)

Boater Hat from Just Jeans. I only paid $5 at the counter!! RRP was $19.95 then reduced to $9.95. I love it when you are prepared to pay the face price and then it's further reduced at the cashier =]

Supra shoes. Paid $70 was $120. All 3 of my Chucks are worn. So these are a similar style but different brand. My friends and I like to collect sneakers.

Tan Sandals from a random boutique store. Was $60 Paid $35

Body Shop small Body Butters. Don't remember but I paid $5 less than RRP.

Cute teapot from T2, I love tea and T2. Teapot/teacup set was $30. Was not a reduced price.

Above is from Kikki.K
A4 box was $29.95 down to $12.57
Tags was $9.95 down to $2

Something different - A little shopping haul

Hello, it's been a while since I've blogged. I've just finished all my exams. So scary =(

This post is non-beauty related. The other day I decided to go shopping with a friend since she was heading overseas for 3 months. Here's what I got:
Bought things from Kikki.K and T2
I love stationery especially cute ones and tea, especially english breakfast.

Also bought a pair of Australia thongs for my friend in Japan, I've just sent it to her for her birthday

From Kikki.K I got the cute diary pack. It's going to be my new diary for 2011. Trying to be more organised and it's much easier when your diary is super cute ^_~

Every week the border has a different design, You can colour in your mood and the weather of the day.

From T2 I got a tea stack and something like an instant blend. Just wished they weren't so expensive. It's the packaging that gets you, so nice, modern and simple.

English Breakfast, Sencha (green tea) and Lemongrass and Ginger. Inside these are pyramid tea bags.

Turkish Apple and Cinnamon. I tried this in store and it was so nice and refreshing =]
It's great as an ice tea, summer soon in Australia so I'm gonna be drinking plenty of this.

Has anyone tried any other flavours from T2?

Canmake Haul and some Japanese Magazines

Enter My Giveaway!! Simply follow ^_^

Today I went to the airport to pick my friend up who went to Japan...EPIC-EST FAIL! I was a tad late but he didn't wait =( also he had no phone and my phone battery eventually died. So for over 2 hours I drove around and walked around the airport searching for him...then I gave up and rushed home. I charged my phone and immediately called his home...phew...he got home safe...POINT...make sure things are well organised and be prepared for "what ifs" when you go pick up a friend from the airport when their phone is broken T_T

But anyways...he got me lots of Canmake goodies ^_^ and 2 of my favourite magazines...ViVi and CanCam!! CanCam is my style...very soft and elegant fashion. I love the make-up in both ViVi and CanCam because they aren't as over the top as Ranzuki and Popteen. But he got me Popteen too...just that he was over the weight limit and needed to post it.
November Issue of ViVi came with free Snidel bag. Its black faux fur with a golden chain.
November Issue of CanCam came with Anteprima Misto B5 sized bag...not too sure what to use it for.
All the make up I chose are from Canmake

Lycee Eye Drops and Lycee Eye Wash. My eyes are always irritated ='(
Also got some super cute Hello Kitty stationery (^-^)v
Left to Right: Lip Concealer in 01, Nudy Glow Lip Glosses in 02 Strawberry Whip/06 Peach Milk/05 Honey Latte, Melty Nude Lipsticks in 03 Baby Pink/02 Creamy Nude/01 Baby Beige

Another SaSa Haul. lol

I should really stop looking at the SaSa site. Been drooling over the vast catalogue of products. But when I was browsing they had re-stocked Jill Stuart mix blushes (been lusting after these for a while and SaSa has them for around $43.00) But when my package arrived they did not pack it   ='(  instead they packed me the Smooth Silk foundation in Ivory 202. I don't want to open it just incase it's not my shade. I have really light skin with warm and cool undertones =S

SANA Soya Milk Nameraka Nonpo Make Up Base
I think this is a primer. I've never used primer before so this would be my first one. Just starting out so don't want to spend too much and I usually trust Japanese brands for their quality. Around $9 =]
SANA Soya Milk Arbutin Toner
Needed a new toner so I'm just trying this out. It contains arbutin which is a whitening/brightening ingredient. It's going to be spring in Australia which means more sun and I tan easily. So I'm using some whitening products to maintain the colour of my skin.
Naris Up Wink Up Lasting Gel Liner
This is my first gel eyeliner. I'm just using this one first because it has a good price to it ($9.50) before I consider buying MAC or Bobbi Brown.
Koji Eye Talk
This is a double eyelid glue. I already have double eyelids but they aren't as visible as caucasian eyelids. However I'm gonna use this as eyelash glue =] Much cheaper than conventional eyelash glue because there is more product and it was only $6.50. It also has a brush tip applicator which makes applying the glue on the band fuss free and mess free =]
This is my gift with purchase. It's a headphone wire manager. It's soooo cute and practical =]

take care everyone and will do a review soon on my hauled products

anniversary, shopping haul and a giveaway I'm entering

Hello! How is everyone?
A week or so ago I had my anniversary with my boyfriend. We spent the day shopping and having lunch. Just something relaxed and not too hectic. Japanese was the menu =] yum!! We went to a place called "pepper lunch" close to Town Hall station in the city. They serve the food on hot plates and it's sizzling when it arrives on your table. I've walked passed this place for many years but never went in.

I chose the Waygu beef because I've never had proper Waygu beef before. It was very tender and delicious. Not much seasoning needs to go into this meat to make it very delicious.

Boyfriend chose Salmon and Chicken. Very very nice =] The chicken is fully cooked before it arrives to you because chicken has to be well done or you'll get food poisoning =(

The bad thing about this place is that it gives you so many bean sprouts, needs more beans instead. But overall I think I'd rate it a 3/5

For our anniversary he got me a Gucci tote ^_^ I know they are very expensive but I never got a 21st birthday present from him, or several months worth of anniversary gifts. So it kinda makes up for it. I think it's worth it because I'd use it everyday for uni and it fits my laptop.

On to shopping...I'm kinda a cheapo when it comes to clothes. Don't normally follow trends and usually wait for sales (I'm a Sales hunter and love a good bargain ^_^). Handbags are different because I'm obsessed with them…

So here's what I hauled for clothes last month:

Sportsgirl cropped jumper (got it for half price AUD$40)
I bought it in the Large size because I wanted it to go down to my hips and be very loose and baggy. If you buy it in your normal size it should go down to our waist and be more fitted.

Chica Booti grey and pink polka dot top (on sale for AUD$9.99)

Chica Booti Grey Shirt (was $24.99, got it for AUD$9.99)

Gotta Love Sales ^_^

Currently I'm entering this competition for a blog I follow. It's a 100+ followers giveaway. I think if I achieve a certain follower mark I'll do a giveaway aswell =]

She is so pretty… =]
