Another SaSa Haul. lol

I should really stop looking at the SaSa site. Been drooling over the vast catalogue of products. But when I was browsing they had re-stocked Jill Stuart mix blushes (been lusting after these for a while and SaSa has them for around $43.00) But when my package arrived they did not pack it   ='(  instead they packed me the Smooth Silk foundation in Ivory 202. I don't want to open it just incase it's not my shade. I have really light skin with warm and cool undertones =S

SANA Soya Milk Nameraka Nonpo Make Up Base
I think this is a primer. I've never used primer before so this would be my first one. Just starting out so don't want to spend too much and I usually trust Japanese brands for their quality. Around $9 =]
SANA Soya Milk Arbutin Toner
Needed a new toner so I'm just trying this out. It contains arbutin which is a whitening/brightening ingredient. It's going to be spring in Australia which means more sun and I tan easily. So I'm using some whitening products to maintain the colour of my skin.
Naris Up Wink Up Lasting Gel Liner
This is my first gel eyeliner. I'm just using this one first because it has a good price to it ($9.50) before I consider buying MAC or Bobbi Brown.
Koji Eye Talk
This is a double eyelid glue. I already have double eyelids but they aren't as visible as caucasian eyelids. However I'm gonna use this as eyelash glue =] Much cheaper than conventional eyelash glue because there is more product and it was only $6.50. It also has a brush tip applicator which makes applying the glue on the band fuss free and mess free =]
This is my gift with purchase. It's a headphone wire manager. It's soooo cute and practical =]

take care everyone and will do a review soon on my hauled products

My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask Experience

I love using most of the My Beauty Diary face masks. They're affordable for their quality. I got mine for $9.70 a box from a large beauty site comparable to SaSa.

I was using the Pearl Powder Mask last night. This is the second time I've used this one but this time the experience wasn't that great. My face burnt for the first 5 minutes =( ouch. However it did do some of its claims which are softening, whitening and nourishing. It's good for dull or damaged skin.

Pros: Whitens/Brightens
Slightly softer skin (not too sure because I always use SK-II facial treatment essence which keeps my skin soft and plump)

Cons: Burning sensation in the beginning.
So many varied pricing online

Did anyone else get the burning sensation with this mask? I know for the Apple Polyphenol one some girls have had the burning feeling when using that mask, which I did too =(

How to find a bra and wear it properly and pyjamas shopping

I found this pamphlet/catalogue a while ago when I was shopping. It's actually quite informative. Getting ourselves fitted properly is very important because we don't want premature sagging and get back pain.

Yesterday I bought new pyjamas from Peter Alexander (Australian designer sleepwear) It's so cute and vintage which I love ^_^
 Close-Up of pants

Shirt which can be worn day and night

I love 'multi task' clothes =]

packages from Hong Kong

Yay! My packages came. I ordered hair velcro and eyelashes off eBay.
First package is the hair velcro. I think it was $3 or $4 for 10 pieces
The left one is from the package. The right one is by Japanese brand Dariya which I bought off SaSa earlier this year. I'm not too pleased with these ones. They don't have that much hold to them =( so I do NOT recommend these. Only buy the one that is by the Dariya brand. Why did I buy 10?  >.<

From another seller I bought 3 boxes of Taiwan made lashes. They feel soft but I think they are synthetic hair. The bands are alright I guess. They were $12 USD for all 2 including postage.

These are criss cross lashes which extend outwards giving eyes a more feminine look ^_^

Standard criss cross lashes

Voluminous lashes that extend outwards

no hot water :(

Hot water tank was down last night, gas ran out =( had to manually boil water and bathe with bucket and pail in my tub.

The good thing was that I was able to put the ESSENTIAL damage care hair mask in my hair and leave it in while I bathed.

I really love this. It gives extra nourishment to the ends of my hair and the smell is just divine.

The other day my nails broke too =( hate it when you have random short nail and the rest of your nails are long

OMG! I want this! but dunno what to wear it for. think it would look good with plain singlet and blazer. I LOVE mimco!

Hope everyone is well

New Hat and the BEST skincare products I've used

It's been a while. I've had mid-semester exams for the past week. So tired from it and I have an assignment due tomorrow =( life is so hard…lol
Anyways I went for a little bit of shopping today and saw this straw hat. I've always wanted one like the gyaru girls. I love the vintage fashion style right now. So soft, elegant and romantic.

Following are the items I use everyday. They are on my favourites list.
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
I use this after I tone which allows this to absorb better into my skin. This product is DEFINITELY worth the money. Makes my really really soft and supple and makes my moisturiser absorb better into my skin.
SK-II Signs Eye Cream
Worth the money as well. I hardly ever have eye bags now  ^_^  and I have a bad sleeping pattern as well. Also my eyes under eyes aren't as dark as they use to be. Even though I'm only in my early twenties I'm trying to prevent wrinkly eyes as Asians get the worse wrinkling around their eyes in old age because we have more delicate skin around our eyes.
Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm
Best lip balm ever! I've tried so many other brands and this one is very moisturising.
Vitacreme B12
I got these for heaps cheap ($12USD) I've read so many positive reviews on this and I have to agree with them. I have really dry skin. If I don't moisturise I'll have dry flaky patches…i know…eww. But this product is extremely moisturising. It makes my skin soft and supple. Also it has anti-wrinkle which is very important as I want to stay looking young. It does smell a bit funky but the smell goes away which is fine. I also ordered 4 boxes =)  The bad thing is that the expiry is 6 months after opening.
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturiser SPF15
Before Vitacreme B12 I use to use this. I still do but only during the day as it has SPF. Also I use this under make up. This product keeps my skin moisturised for the WHOLE day. I think it's also worth the money as it's 125ml which takes a while for me to finish. It would definitely last me a year or more

MoroccanOil Review

Hey guys

Just had a massive pig out session of Pringles in sour cream and chives, Cadbury chocolate, Twix and Snickers…I feel like a fatty but had mad cravings for junk food.

For a while now I've been using MoroccanOil in my hair. For me I feel that it makes my hair stronger and healthier. Also it has a nice sweet scent but is not overpowering.
This is what it says on the pack of the box:
"MoroccanOil has unique quality of instant absorption into hair, creating an instant shine and long term conditioning without leaving residue."
Directions: For healthy, smooth and striking shiny hair, apply a small amount throughout damp hair, style as usual.

Usually I rub a teaspoon amount between my hands and apply it to the ENDS of my damp hair then run the remainder through my whole hair. Dry as usual.
I got mine off eBay but beware, apparently there are fakes around and the fakes smell like baby oil. So if you don't mind paying full RRP ($AUD49.95) go to a reputable hair salon or through the MoroccanOil website. There is also a lighter version for finer and lighter hair colours. I think MoroccanOil is worth the investment for healthy hair and is great for repairing damaged hair =]

Let me know if you have tried this and what your experiences are =]

dior swatches and paul & joe

How is everyone?

Well I went out last night for  ladies night out but it failed and I'd already gotten dressed up =( so instead I stayed home with my boyfriend. I used the Dior makeup palette I bought a while back. I would do a FOTD look but my camera was taking crappy pics

Here are the swatches for the palette
Palette comes with 1 lipstick, 1 blush, diorskin forever compact in 020 beigh clair, 6 eyeshadows, DiorShow mascara, 1 double ended applicator, i mini blush brush

First Column: 837, 884, 127 from the Dior 5 Couleurs palettes
Second Column: 725, 005 from Dior 1 Couleurs (mono eyeshadows), 059 from 5 Couleurs Iridescent palette

Top to Bottom: 837, 884, 127
The 884 is quite shimmery and but the shimmers are very very fine, 127 would be excellent for a smoky look

Left to Right: 725, 005, 059 (sorry, tried to take accurate images but they wouldn't show)
Very iridescent and shiny, smooth application and extremely blendable, great pigments

DiorBlush in 920, Rouge Dior in 365 Rose VIP
The blush is very very shimmery, maybe a little too shimmery, however it would make a good highlighter or applied on top of a matte blush to give it some extra shimmer, the pink pigments don't show through too well, The lipstick is a nice pink fine shimmer lipstick

Overall it's a nice palette and very handy as a travel companion =]
After it's been used up the palette can be taken out and the bag can double up as another make up bag to store other products and because the mirror is quite big for a travel mirror

I'm also entering in another competition held by makeupandlife
She's giving away the Alice in Wonderland Daydream set by Paul & Joe. I haven't found Paul & Joe cosmetics in Australia but have seen them in the Japanese magazines. The packaging is sooo cute ^_^

Tsubaki Head Spa Review

Hello

I've been so obsessed with my hair for a couple of years. I use to dye it for 5 years straight and it has take its toll on my hair. So from that I've given my hair a break and have not coloured it for one year except to dye it a very dark brown which I think is much safer than dying it a light copper colour. Even though I've given slowed down on the hair dye my hair is still fragile and grows really slow now :(

So I've invested in Moroccan Oil (will do a review on that) and lots of other hair care products. If you've read my previous post on my SaSa haul I did purchase the who ESSENTIAL damage care product range but I think I'll save it for when I dye my hair a lighter colour for summer. So before my SaSa haul I bought the Shiseido TSUBAKI Head Spa range, however it came in the mail later.

Both brands are good for damaged hair but I think the ESSENTIAL hair range better suits coloured hair whereas the TSUBAKI Head Spa is for scalp care.

Left to Right: Shampoo, Extra cleansing (shampoo?), Massage Spa Mask, Conditioner

Here's what I researched about TSUBAKI:
Tsubaki means camellia in Japanese. The range contains tsubaki oil to which repairs and nourishes damaged hair. The Head Spa range was released in March. There are also 2 others, red packaging and white. The red is for normal hair whereas the white is for extra damaged coloured hair.

I'm hoping the range I bought will help my hair grow faster *fingers crossed*

Here's what SaSa says about the *Extra Cleansing (Shampoo)*
description
Shiseido Tsubaki Head spa contains a high purity of tsubaki (camilia) oil & many other natural ingredients, is specially designed for advanced scalp care. Using just once or twice a week will help remove all the chemical residues from hair products, at the same time deeply nourish each hair strands like a quality hair spa at home. 2. Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  3. Recommended to use 1-2 times per week.

  • Take appropriate amount and spread evenly through every hair strands while giving massage to your hair scalp.
  • Leave in for 5~10 minutes.
  • Rinse off thoroughly

Shampoo and Conditioner is self explanatory

Review

Scent: Smells very nice and floral

My hair didn't fall out as much in the shower. Also you don't need a lot of the product, just a tablespoon full of product should do. I applied the shampoo to my scalp and washed my head really well. Then I gave it a quick rinse and applied some of the Extra cleansing product. At first sight it looked like oil but when I applied it to my scalp it lathered really well. I left the product on for a while, you could continue washing your body, shave legs etc. while it works on your scalp and hair.

Finally I applied the conditioner to the ends of my hair then worked it into my scalp. Gave it a good rinse after afterwards.

My hair was really soft and manageable. I think I will do a recapped review and see how my hair goes after 2 weeks of continuos use. I use to use Pantene Volume collection but I think it makes my hair fall out =(

anniversary, shopping haul and a giveaway I'm entering

Hello! How is everyone?
A week or so ago I had my anniversary with my boyfriend. We spent the day shopping and having lunch. Just something relaxed and not too hectic. Japanese was the menu =] yum!! We went to a place called "pepper lunch" close to Town Hall station in the city. They serve the food on hot plates and it's sizzling when it arrives on your table. I've walked passed this place for many years but never went in.

I chose the Waygu beef because I've never had proper Waygu beef before. It was very tender and delicious. Not much seasoning needs to go into this meat to make it very delicious.

Boyfriend chose Salmon and Chicken. Very very nice =] The chicken is fully cooked before it arrives to you because chicken has to be well done or you'll get food poisoning =(

The bad thing about this place is that it gives you so many bean sprouts, needs more beans instead. But overall I think I'd rate it a 3/5

For our anniversary he got me a Gucci tote ^_^ I know they are very expensive but I never got a 21st birthday present from him, or several months worth of anniversary gifts. So it kinda makes up for it. I think it's worth it because I'd use it everyday for uni and it fits my laptop.

On to shopping...I'm kinda a cheapo when it comes to clothes. Don't normally follow trends and usually wait for sales (I'm a Sales hunter and love a good bargain ^_^). Handbags are different because I'm obsessed with them…

So here's what I hauled for clothes last month:

Sportsgirl cropped jumper (got it for half price AUD$40)
I bought it in the Large size because I wanted it to go down to my hips and be very loose and baggy. If you buy it in your normal size it should go down to our waist and be more fitted.

Chica Booti grey and pink polka dot top (on sale for AUD$9.99)

Chica Booti Grey Shirt (was $24.99, got it for AUD$9.99)

Gotta Love Sales ^_^

Currently I'm entering this competition for a blog I follow. It's a 100+ followers giveaway. I think if I achieve a certain follower mark I'll do a giveaway aswell =]

She is so pretty… =]

smoother nose

I purchased this random product a couple of months ago and only just opened it now to use. It claims to heat up your nose and remove the white and black heads. Be warned…you will see ugly pics of my nose >.<

SANA Pore Vacuumer

The tube is a foil tube. The actual product looks like cement and seems to have the consistency of cement. It has a fine gritty texture so I think thats how the whiteheads are scrubbed away. From application I can kinda see the white heads getting 'vacuumed' out =]

Usage:

  1. Wash Face with a mild cleanser and rinse
  2. Apply a small amount on fingertips and apply to nose
  3. Spread product around nose paying extra attention to the side nostrils
  4. Wash of with luke warm water
Rating: 4/5
My Nose felt really smooth after I used it. I think maybe this product should be used ONCE a week. we should not overdo our skin with excessive products.
